AKIRA Fan Discovers a Disgruntled Message Snuck in by an Angry Animator

Here’s an amusing little thing that was found in the iconic anime film Akira. The movie is currently streaming in Japan for free, so a lot of fans are revisiting the film, and some people are being introduced to it for the first time. One fan discovered a hidden message in the film that hasn’t been noticed until now.

The message shared on social media by Twitter user HikozaTwi after they spotted an interesting note. In the scene, which is about 40 minutes into the film, there are various pieces of medical machines. There is a note placed on one of the machines, and it’s written in Japanese using a Latin script.

The Twitter user translated the note and it reads, "Why do we have to fill in this far! Knock it off! Enough."

Apparently one of the animators on the film was completely fed up with the work that they were given to do for the day on the project. So, he took his frustrations out by writing this angry note and sticking it in the film. It’s amazing that after all these years no one noticed this until now.

From what I understand, the anime industry and the way it works hasn’t changed much since the ‘80s.
