Al Pacino Joins Quentin Tarantino's ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD
Damn! Quentin Tarantino is going all out for his next film project! Al Pacino is the latest actor to join the star-studded cast in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood! This will be the first time the two will have worked together.
A few months ago it was reported that Tarantino wanted to cast Pacino in the film so it's pretty cool that he was able to land the actor. Pacino will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth. Some of the supporting cast members include Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins Jr., Keith Jefferson and Nicholas Hammond.
Tarantino's new film has been described as a Pulp Fiction-like film that centers on characters around Los Angeles in the summer of 1969. The Manson Family murders serve as a backdrop to the story, which follows the two lead characters Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), a former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt). "Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate."
Lewis will play the iconic actor Steve McQueen; Fanning is set as Squeaky Fromme, the Manson follower who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford; Hammond will play director Sam Wanamaker; and Hirsch is playing Jay Sebring, the Hollywood hairstylist who was one of four victims in the Tate murders. As for Perry, he will play Scotty Lancer, Collins will play Ernesto The Mexican Vaquero, and Keith Jefferson is Land Pirate Keith.
According to Variety, Pacino will play Marvin Shwarz, who will be Leonardo DiCaprio’s character’s agent in the story.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released on August 9th, 2019.
