Alamo Drafthouse Has Launched Its Monthly Season Pass Subscription Service
The movie theater chain Alamo Drafthouse has launched its own monthly service for fans to sign up and enjoy up to one movie per day. With each price bracket, movie fans can reserve their seats in a showing up to seven days in advance (and can reserve two different movies/days at a time), and enjoy a “regularly priced” movie. In the fine print, they explains what that means.
“You can reserve seats to a 3D, 70mm, Dolby Atmos, or Big Show movie for a non-refundable fee of $1.99. Alamo Season Pass can not be used for special events like Movie Parties or Feasts or other shows with premium tickets.”
They go on to explain that you can easily add on the ticket of a friend to the one you reserve for yourself. It’s also said that there is a convenience fee when reserving each film too, and there’s no way around it because the subscription only operates through the app. It seems like they would just raise the price of the monthly subscription a little bit to get around that, because I think it would be pretty annoying to pay a monthly fee, then also pay a convenience fee every time you use it, but that’s just my opinion.
I suppose that people who are going to the movies multiple times a month would still really benefit from having the service, and it seems fairly reasonable if you live in the right locations. Check out the breakdown below, and let us know if Alamo Drafthouse is your preferred theater, and you’re excited about this new pass.
