Alex Winter Celebrates BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC Kickoff Day With Story Board Art
Our very own Bill S. Preston, Alex Winter, has tweeted out a drawn picture of an opening scene from the upcoming, long-awaited sequel, Bill & Ted Face the Music. It is so exciting that we are getting the original duo from the first two Bill and Ted films back in action on the big screen. Keanu Reeves has also expressed his excitement over the sequel, and fans are super stoked.
When I was a kid, my dad would take me over to Super Star Video every Friday, and he would pick up the latest new releases and let me pick up one of my choice. There was a solid year that I rented Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure every single weekend. I freaking love that movie. Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey was fun too, but I’m really hoping the third film will be able to recapture that hilarious and awesome storytelling that was the original film.
Check out the tweet below, and let us know how stoked you are for this excellent sequel to hit theaters on August 21, 2020.
Here’s the synopsis that was released for the movie:
Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.
Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Fun With Dick and Jane) will direct the film from a script written by the original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical) and Samara Weaving (SMILF, The Babysitter) have also recently been cast as the daughters of Bill and Ted.
The movie is set to be released on August 21st, 2020.
