Alfie Williams Has His Eye on a DEAD SPACE Movie and He’s Willing to Wait 25 Years to Play Isaac Clarke

With his career just getting started, Alfie Williams is already thinking way down the road. The young actor’s second major film, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple has hit theaters, and he’s already talking about dream roles, video game adaptations, and characters he knows he’s too young to play right now.

In a recent interview with IGN, Williams shared that he’s been spending a lot of time revisiting classic games. One franchise in particular has fully grabbed his attention, and it’s one that fans have been hoping to see on the big screen for years.

“I've been sticking to the classics,” the youngster said, as IGN's reporter cheekily suggested: “We can get a message out to the IGN community to try and push for it.” "Yeah!" Williams said with a smile.

That classic is Dead Space, the iconic sci-fi horror game from Electronic Arts. While a movie adaptation hasn’t officially been announced, the idea isn’t exactly out of left field as people have been trying to get a Dead Space film made, like director DJ Caruso, and it’s a project John Carpenter would love to take on.

In a separate interview with Wonderland magazine, the 15-year-old actor got more specific about what he’d want to do if the franchise ever made the jump to live action. His pick is the series’ haunted protagonist, Isaac Clarke.

“But I would have to wait a while, since the character is like 40 years old!”

Williams certainly has pateince! He’s clearly thinking long term about the kinds of stories he wants to tell. Beyond sci-fi horror, he’s also got a love for another classic genre and a legendary outlaw he’d love to portray someday.

“One day, I would absolutely love to be in a Western. I just think it would be amazing. My favourite Western is Young Guns and I would love to play Billy the Kid if they ever made a remake of that film.”

For now, fans will first see Williams continue his breakout run in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which expands the world of Danny Boyle’s infected nightmare. As for Dead Space, the franchise remains one of gaming’s most terrifying experiences.

Originally released in 2008 and later remade in 2023, Dead Space follows engineer Isaac Clarke as he boards the derelict USG Ishimura after receiving a distress message from his girlfriend, Nicole.

The mining ship went silent after its crew encountered a mysterious alien artifact on Aegis VII, unleashing a horrific infection. As Isaac explores the ship, he uncovers political corruption, a fanatical cult, and wave after wave of Necromorphs, reanimated corpses twisted into nightmarish monsters.

Whether or not a Dead Space movie ever happens, it’s clear Williams already has his sights set on it. And if it takes another 25 years for him to finally suit up as Isaac Clarke, it sounds like he’d be more than okay with that.
