ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS Trailer: Tea Time, Forever
The most impressive thing about this new trailer for Alice Through the Looking Glass is the way The Muppets director James Bobin and new-to-this-franchise production designer Dan Hennah was able to mimic Tim Burton's distinctive style from the previous movie. This still doesn't look like a world I want to spend another second of my life dedicated to watching, because practically everything about this goes against my personal tastes in a huge way. Opening in a mental ward? Check. Johnny Depp being goofy? Check. Topsy turvy landscapes, gigantic CGI nonsense, and characters I don't care about? Check, check, check.
But hey, at least we get to hear the late Alan Rickman speak once again.
Alice Through the Looking Glass hits theaters on May 27th.
