Alicia Silverstone Joins Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons in The Alien Conspiracy Movie BUGONIA
Director Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things) has cast Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) in his upcoming sci-fi alien conspiracy movie Bugonia, and she joins Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons.
The movie centers on “two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.”
As you know, Lanthimos makes some really weird and unique films and there’s no doubt that this one is going to end up delivering another wild movie-going experience.
The script was written by Emmy winner Will Tracy (Succession, The Menu), and it’s based on the 2003 South Korean comedy Save the Green Planet. There’s no word on who Silverstone will play in the movie.
Bugonia is being produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen and it will be distributed by Focus Features and Universal Pictures.
The movie is set to be released in theaters on November 7, 2025.
