Alicia Silverstone Says She Would Like to Do a BLAST FROM THE PAST Sequel, Or Really Anything With Brendan Fraser
Golden Globe-nominated actress Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, The Baby-Sitters Club) got together with her co-stars from Clueless at the recent convention, ’90s Con. When audience members were given the opportunity to ask the panel questions, one person asked Silverstone if she would ever want to reunite with recent Academy Award-winning actor Brendan Fraser to make a sequel to their 1999 comedy Blast From the Past.
Silverstone responded:
“With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan. It was so much fun. I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he’s so cute. He talked in his speech about how we all go through this really hard time and you have to grow and it’s part of life that you struggle and then look what happened to him! So yes, I’m happy to do that.”
Blast From the Past starred Fraser, Silverstone, Christopher Walken, Sissy Spacek and Dave Foley. It follows a 35-year-old man (Fraser) who spent his entire life living in a fallout shelter built by his father (Walken), who believed the world was coming to an end. As he emerges into the modern world, he meets Eve (Silverstone), who opens his eyes to a whole new life.
I would love to see a sequel to this movie! The first one is so cute, and I’d honestly love to see this pair reunite. Would you watch a sequel to Blast From the Past?
