Aliens Invade Earth and Michael Peña is The Key To Stopping Them in Trailer For Netflix's EXTINCTION

Netflix has unleashed the first trailer for their upcoming sci-fi action-thriller Extinction. The film tells the story of a man, played by Michael Peña, who has visions of Earth's impending doom and when there's a deadly alien invasion, for some reason he holds the key to stopping them. It looks like a pretty intense sci-fi movie. I hope that it turns out good. Judging by the trailer it could go either way. Here's the synopsis:

A working class father of the future faces recurring dreams of destruction by an unknown force.  When his unwanted nightmares begin to affect his relationship with his family, he soon realizes they may be the key to a horrible reality, as a relentless alien attack begins to destroy the Earth. As the invaders’ assault progresses, he is forced to find both the strength to protect his family and an understanding of who he truly is.

The film also stars Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Mike Colter (Marvel’s Luke Cage), and Israel Broussard (Happy Death Day).

Extinction was directed by Ben Young (Hounds of Love) from a script written by Spenser Cohen (The Driver) and Brad Caleb Kane. The movie will be released on Netflix on July 27th.

A father has a recurring dream of losing his family. His nightmare turns into reality when the planet is invaded by a force bent on destruction. Now, fighting for their lives, he comes to realize an unknown strength to keep them safe from harm. Starring Michael Peña, Lizzy Caplan and Mike Colter.
