Alison Brie is Reportedly Wanted For Marvel's SHE-HULK Series
We’ve got a new She-Hulk rumor to share with you that I’m interested in seeing your thoughts on. According to ace Marvel scooper Daniel Ritchman, Marvel Studios is looking to cast an “Alison Brie-type” actress in the role of Jennifer Walters a.k.a. She-Hulk in Disney+’s She-Hulk series. Alison Brie is obviously at the top of their list of actresses they want to cast.
Mark Ruffalo is also expected to make an appearance on the show as it was confirmed that Jennifer Walters is the cousin to Bruce Banner in the series. The previously shared logline reads:
“Also known as Jennifer Walters, She Hulk is a lawyer, and cousin of Bruce Banner, whose emergency blood transfusion from Bruce empowers her with Hulk-like abilities.”
In the comics, Banner is the one who does a blood-transfusion with Walters in order to save her life, but in turn, gives her permanent green skin. Red Hulk is also rumored to make an appearance in the series.
It was also previously reported that Marvel was looking to cast an actress in her late 20s or early 30s to play Walter, and they want to get someone who has worked in comedic roles before. Alison Brie definitely fits the bill. The question is, do you think Brie is a good choice for the role? I’m sure there will be some mixed reactions if she ends up being cast in the series, but I think Brie is a solid choice.
She-Hulk is being developed by Rick and Morty’s Jessica Gao who serves as showrunner, and there is currently no premiere date for it yet.
