Alison Brie Teases the COMMUNITY Movie Script - "It's So Funny"
Alison Brie has offered an update on Community: The Movie and revealed that they have a script and that she’s read it.
While appearing on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Brie teased the script, saying: “We got a script, which is a major update. We got a script — you heard it here first.” She continued, saying: “I’ve read the script, and it’s so funny.”
When talking about what she would like to see from her character in the story, she said: “I hope that Annie hasn’t changed too much because I loved her just the way she was.”
While Brie said that no production dates are set yet, Joel McHale previously said that the movie ill shoot sometime this year, in 2024. He said he’d be “shocked” if it didn’t shoot this year. “But I really do think it’s happening this year, and probably next week. It’s basically working around Donald’s schedule.”
He then joked: “We go to the center of the earth. It’s like the movie The Core.” Donald Glover recently revealed that the film centers on “a college reunion.” One-time Greendale Community College film student Abed Nadir, played by Danny Pudi, is now “this big director,” and the Peacock pic we’ll watch is “his magnum opus.”
Peacock officially announced the Community movie back in 2022, enlisting the show’s creator, Dan Harmon and Andrew Guest to pen the script.
In addition to McHale, Glover, and Brie, cast members set to return for the movie include Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, and Yvette Nicole Brown.
