All Suspects on Deck! It's a New Trailer For The Murder Mystery Film DEATH ON THE NILE
Kenneth Branagh is back as detective Hercule Poirot and he’s thrust into a whole new murder mystery that he has to solve in the new feature film adaptation of Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile. This film serves as a sequel to Murder on the Orient Express, and Branagh has also returned to direct.
The original novel was published in 1937, which is a daring mystery-thriller about the emotional chaos and deadly consequences triggered by obsessive love. Branagh is joined by an all-star cast of murder suspects that include Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright.
This looks like it’ll be a fun adaptation. I like the Egyptian setting of the film and the visuals, and this is sure to be an enjoyable movie. Here’s the synopsis:
Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot's Egypt vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.
Death on the Nile will be released in theaters on February 11th, 2022.
