Allison Schroeder, Writer of FROZEN 2, to Pen Script for MINECRAFT

It still boggles my mind a little that Minecraft is getting a movie. The movie based on the popular video game is coming from Warner Bros. who have just brought Allison Schroeder on board to write the script. Schroeder co-wrote Hidden Figures and Christopher Robin and is the writer for what is sure to be the insanely popular Frozen 2.

Minecraft will be directed by Peter Sollett with the list of producers including Jon Berg, Roy Lee, and developer Mojang. I’m really interested to see what the story for the film will be as the popular building game doesn’t have a story mode, but rather a survival mode and a creative mode.

Minecraft is currently slated to premiere in theaters on March 4, 2022.
