Alternate Poster for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and New Promo Art
Here is an alternate poster for Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. The one we saw yesterday put Captain America (Chris Evans) front and center, but this one features Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) in that place.
The poster is packed to the brim with superheroes. I'm surprised they managed to fit them all in there. In our article for the first poster, Ben pointed out that Evans' Steve Rogers being in the foreground could be “a subtle visual hint that the audience is meant to side with Steve,” because when this leads into Captain America: Civil War Stark and Rogers will turn against each other, and heroes will have to choose sides.
I've also included some more promo art for you to check out. One of them features Vision, and another features Iron Man with a hint of Ultronish type evil.
But as you can see, now we have a poster with Iron Man in the foreground. So this poster kind of puts that theory to rest. In the end the audience will have to choose whose side they are on. As much as I love Iron Man, I will always and forever be team Captain America. What about you?
The movie comes out on May 1st.
