The Eddy is an upcoming musical drama series coming to Netflix from Damien Chazelle. The latest member of the cast has been revealed to be Amandla Stenberg, who will play Julie. Julie is the daughter of Elliott, who will be played by Andre Holland. Joanna Kulig is also set to star in the series as Maja, Elliot’s on-again-off-again romantic partner.

“[The Eddy] revolves around a club in Paris, highlighting its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them.”

Glen Ballard has written all the songs for the band, and Jack Thorne is set to write “several episodes.” Directors for the series include Chazelle, Houda Benyamina, and Alan Poul.

The Eddy will feature dialogue in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. It is set to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
