Amazing Video of Double Amputee Controlling Robotic Arms

VideosTech by Free Reyes

I saw this video of double amputee Les Baugh operating two robotic arms and just has to share it. Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab combined and created a lot of the technology involved. After a bit of surgery to apply electrodes to parts of his chest, Baugh can now control the "Modular Prosthetic Limbs" via thought. I can't wait to see what advancements in prosthetics we'll see in the next 10 years. I think the biggest thing will be making them affordable for all amputees.

A Colorado man made history at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) this summer when he became the first bilateral shoulder-level amputee to wear and simultaneously control two of the Laboratory's Modular Prosthetic Limbs.
