Amazon is Looking at Developing More Spinoff Projects For THE BOYS

There are a couple of spinoff projects for The Boys that the fans will be able to enjoy. The first is The Boys Presents: Diabolical, an animated series that was recently released on Amazon. Some of the episodes are in-canon while others were made just for fun.

The other show is a live-action series that is set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes and it “explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”

In a recent interview with Variety, creator and producer Evan Goldberg shared that he and his team have been working on a number of spinoff ideas, some of which could happen. He said:

"We'd been messing around with some live-action movie ideas. And then when the idea to make the 'Diabolical' show came around, we were like, this is perfect. And then we kind of ripped off 'Baby's Day Out.'....We're talking about spinoffs all the time. We're working on numerous different ideas. Some will not happen, some will. But I think we got more franchising to do. We can grow. We can grow like Laser Baby."

This world that has been created for The Boys is an insane one, but it’s also a ton of fun! I’m happy to see that Amazon is allowing the creative team behind the series to explore it more in these spinoff projects. As long as they keep telling good stories with great characters, the fans will continue to show up to watch whatever these guys end up creating.
