Amazon Is Producing a FEAR AGENT Series With the Director of SHAZAM! and Seth Rogen
Producers Seth Rogen and Matt Tolmach (Venom 2, Morbius, Spider-Man: Homecoming) are teaming up with Shazam! director David F. Sandberg to develop a series adaptation of Rick Remender’s comic series Fear Agent.
The series will be produced by Amazon, who ended up winning the rights to the project after a bidding war with Peacock, HBO Max, and TNT. Sandberg will produce the project, which is being written and directed by Mattson Tomlin, who co-wrote Matt Reeves’s The Batman.
If you’re not familiar with the comic, here’s the synopsis that was shared for upcoming sci-fi series:
Interstellar invaders. Time travel. Clones of clones of clones, and lots of whiskey. Whether he’s battling the scourge of space, going back in time to stop the alien invasion that changed Earth forever, or winning his ex-wife back, there’s nothing that Heath Huston won’t do to try to right the wrongs and gets his family back. He is, after all, the last Fear Agent.
Rogen and Tolmach have produced some awesome shows and films over the years, and they both previously worked together on the Hulu series Future Man. Fear Agent seems like a project that will right up their alley. This is something that they are sure to have a ton of fun developing.
Have you read the Fear Agent comic, and do you think that it will make for a great series with this creative team behind it?
