Amazon Producing a Zombie Action Comedy Film KILLING IT
Amazon Studios and Jax Media are producing a zombie action comedy film titled Killing It, and Robin Thede, who is behind HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show is developing it. She wrote the screenplay for the film and will also be producing it.
The story revolves around “a group of underachieving friends who find themselves overrun by zombies while they are in Atlanta to visit Spelman College, 10 years after they dropped out of the prestigious HBCU women’s school.” The movie is described as Shaun of the Dead meets Girls Trip.
Thede is a rising star, who also appeared in the 2020 horror-comedy Bad Hair from Dear White People writer-director Justin Simien.
