Amazon Studios Acquires Rights To Comic Book Series EIGHT BILLION GENIES

Amazon Studios has acquired the rights to the comic book series Eight Billion Genies by Charles Soule and Ryan Browne after a heated auction. The first project to come from the acquisition is a feature film that will be executive produced by Soule and Browne and will serve as the basis of a cross media Universe. 

Eight Billion Genies is a series that asks what if everyone on the planet had one wish. At exactly the same moment everyone on Earth gets a genie and one wish and eight seconds later the world has transformed forever. It sounds like an interesting premise, I hope that the film is an animated feature because of how fantastical the premise is, but my guess is it will likely be a live action.

You can check out issues one and two of the comic series at comic book shops and digitally now with issues three and four releasing July and August.
