Amber Midthunder and Alan Ritchson Set to Star in the Action Thriller PAINTER From JOHN WICK Writer Derek Kolstad
FilmNation Entertainment is looking to star an action franchise with a film project titled Painter, and they’ve cast Alan Ritchson (Reacher) and Amber Midthunder (Prey, Legion) to star in the movie.
The script for Painter was written by Derek Kolstad (John Wick), and it will be directed by Logan, Avatar and Road House stunt co-ordinator Garrett Warren.
Painter “centers on a young woman, trained from a young age, who must employ every skill in her arsenal to rescue her father after he is kidnapped.”
Drew Simon, Infrared President of Production said in a statement: “Painter will be a seminal action hero film, making Midthunder into this generation’s Sarah Connor (Terminator).
“We loved Kolstad’s high-octane script, and we know with Garrett Warren at the helm this film will kickstart an exciting new franchise in the world of action.”
Ritchson is also a producer on the film along with Drew Simon (Infrared), Kolstad, Josh Adler (Circle of Confusion), and Dan Spilo.
