Amber Midthunder Talks About Her Hopeful and Potential Future in the PREDATOR/PREY Franchise
Director Dan Trachtenberg took the Predator franchise in a new direction with the 2022 film Prey, which was a critical success and an immediate favorite with fans.
Trachtenberg is currently working on two more films within the franchise, but he hasn’t confirmed that he will return to the story he started in Prey, which starred Amber Midthunder as the badass Comanche warrior named Naru. But fans are hoping it happens, and so is Midthunder.
While the actress is busy with several projects, she told Collider in a recent interview that she would absolutely be down to return to the role:
“I don't know. I don't know what's happening. [Laughs] I genuinely don't. I also want to do another one. I would be happy to do another one. I love Dan Trachtenberg with my whole heart.
“I love that world, I love that character, and I think that there's some fun ideas out there that I've heard that are very cool. I'm really excited. He obviously has Badlands coming out this year, so I'm really excited to see that. Whatever Dan does, I will always be his fan.”
It’s cool that Midthunder’s talents have been utilized in lots of projects since this film, but if Trachtenberg is continuing to play in the world of predator, why not return to this character and story that fans loved? Would you be happy to see a sequel to Prey? Stay tuned for news on the future of the franchise.
