AMC Announces 88-Episode Marathon of THE WALKING DEAD

The threat of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) looms large in The Walking Dead, and AMC wants to make sure that everyone is all caught up before season 7 starts with multiple deaths. The network has you covered, because they've just announced that an 88-episode marathon of the zombie series will take place between now and when the new season premieres in just under two weeks. Rather than airing every single episode back to back, though, the marathon will kick off on Sunday, October 16th at 7am, and then pick back up each night at 6pm for the remainder of that week, leading right into the season 7 premiere on Sunday, October 23 at 9pm.

As /Film points out, this is part of AMC's annual FearFest event, which begins tomorrow morning with a Halloween movie marathon, rolls into the next day with a Friday the 13th marathon, and continues with multiple films in the A Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play, The Omen, The Amityville Horror, Alien, The Exorcist, Hellraiser, and Underworld franchises as Halloween approaches. Check out the network's official site for the full schedule, and start clearing your DVRs now.
