I’ve got some pretty rad news for all you Orphan Black fans! AMC is developing a new series that will be set in the same universe as the original Orphan Black show.

The series is in the early development stages and there aren’t a lot of details, but Variety reports that this new show “would not be a spinoff or reboot of the original series, but rather a completely new story set in the same world.”

The producers of the show are currently on the hunt for a writer to take on the project and are looking to bring in multiple people to pitch different takes on what the show could be.

The original series was set up at BBC America and was co-created by John Fawcett and Graeme Manson. The series premiered in 2013 and ran for five seasons. It’s interesting to see that this this time around, the new show is going to be produced by AMC.

Are you excited about this new Orphan Black series? What do you hope to see from it?
