We’ve got a trailer here for you to watch for an upcoming gritty crime thriller titled American Dream. The story follows two American brothers who find themselves protecting their new business and fighting for the American dream.
The film was directed by longtime Steven Spielberg cinematographer Janusz Kaminski. He’s worked with Spielberg on films such as Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan, War of the Worlds, Minority Report, and the upcoming West Side Story. The script for the film was written by Duncan Brantley (Leatherheads) and Mark Wheaton (The Messengers).
The film tells an intense story about the brutal struggle for success. “Desperate for cash, entrepreneurs Scott (Luke Bracey) and Nicky (Michiel Huisman) turn to Russian mobster Yuri (Nick Stahl). After they refuse the funding he offers, Yuri gets revenge by trying to take over their construction project. The partners are terrified until Nicky’s tough Russian girlfriend Ana decides to take action herself.”
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Nick Stahl in a movie. It’s great to see him in the role of an unhinged mobster!
