AMERICAN HORROR STORY 13 Trailer Goes All-In on Murder House, Coven, Freak Show, and More
American Horror Story is digging through its twisted history for Season 13, and this thing looks like one big nightmare reunion.
The new trailer for American Horror Story 13 pulls characters from Murder House, Coven, Freak Show, Apocalypse, Cult, Hotel, 1984, and more into the same season. Plenty of familiar faces are returning, but the big one is Jessica Lange, who is back after last appearing in 2018’s Apocalypse.
The trailer opens with Lange as Murder House favorite Constance Langdon, who greets us with, “It’s good to be back, isn’t it?”
Lange is returning as four of her previous American Horror Story characters, including Fiona Goode from Coven and Elsa Mars from Freak Show. Fiona gets her own appropriately theatrical entrance, declaring, “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome at last. We are all assembled for this special occasion.”
Lange also describes the new season as a “celebration of miscreants, murderous demons, and profanity.” She isn’t the only major original cast member coming home. Evan Peters returns as Tate Langdon, the troubled Murder House character he first played when the series launched in 2011.
The trailer also features Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery, Kathy Bates as Delphine LaLaurie, Billie Lourd as Mallory and Winter Anderson, Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie, Leslie Grossman as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt, John Carroll Lynch as Twisty the Clown, and Zach Villa as Richard Ramirez.
The returning roster keeps going with Mena Suvari as Elizabeth Short from Murder House, Mat Fraser as Paul from Freak Show, Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow from Coven, and Seth Gabel as Jeffrey Dahmer from Hotel.
Season 13 is reaching into just about every dark corner of the AHS universe. The official description explains just how big the reunion is:
“Bringing together an all-star cast, many of whom are reprising fan-favorite roles, AHS: 13 continues to build on the anthology’s decades-long legacy that has been streamed more than 700 million hours across the globe and spawned a legion of dedicated fans.”
After years of American Horror Story reinventing itself with new locations, characters, monsters, killers, and assorted lunatics, Ryan Murphy is turning Season 13 into a collision of the show’s past and it should make this one especially fun for longtime fans.
