Amusing AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Scene Description Involving Rocket Raccoon and another Hero Now Known as "White Wolf"
One of the things that I'm most excited about seeing in Avengers: Infinity War is the fact that we are going to get to see a lot of characters interact with each other that have never interacted with each other before. There are so many fun and different personality types and it's going to be a blast watching them play off each other. I'm especially looking forward to seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy come to Earth to help take on Thanos and his goons.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a description of a scene involving Rocket Raccoon and another superhero character. I won't say who that character is other than the fact he is now known as 'White Wolf". But, if you do want to know who the character is and how the brief interaction plays out, keep reading!
The scene takes place during the Battle of Wakanda, where Captain America and Black Panther are trying to keep Vision safe. During the climactic battle, Rocket Raccoon (Sean Gunn) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) have a fun little moment and what's funny about it is that it's a call back to a running gag in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Here's the description of how the scene plays out:
Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, the former Winter Soldier now known to his Wakandan friends as “White Wolf,” is laying waste to Outriders while Rocket — in the form of Sean Gunn, wielding a puppet stand-in — distracts him with some offers he can easily refuse.
“How much for the gun?” the furry dealmaker asks, admiring the firepower clutched by Bucky’s mechanical limb.
“It’s not for sale.”
“Okay, how much for the arm? The arm?” Rocket persists. (He has a weird thing about prosthetics.)
This is just a little taste of the fun interactions that we will see in the film. This description also reveals a couple other things. The Guardians will be involved in the Battle of Wakanda and Bucky Barnes will go by the name "White Wolf". It's explained:
"Sebastian Stan’s rehabilitated assassin now goes by White Wolf,. It’s intriguing to see a man whose memories were scrambled, wiped, and rebuilt."
If you're familiar with the comics, then the name "White Wolf" may sound familiar. In the comics, White Wolf is a Caucasian outsider who ends up in Wakanda and he’s also T’Challa’s adopted brother.
Hunter a.k.a White Wolf first appeared in Black Panther #4 in 1999. After his parents were killed in a plane crash in Wakanda, Hunter was adopted by King T’Chaka and raised as his own. However, even though the reclusive Wakandans were deeply suspicious of this outsider, Hunter took great pride in his newfound home.
I have no idea if Bucky will actually end up being an MCU version of "White Wolf." The name could just be an Easter egg that isn't built on anything further. But we'll have to wait and see.
What do you think about this little scene from the film that was shared and how do you think this whole "White Wolf" thing will play out?
