Amusing GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 and MARY POPPINS Mashup Art

There are a ton of great moments in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but there's one for me that stood out the most. It was a favorite moment of mine that was both funny and heartwarming.

The scene features Yondu flying down with the help of his arrow with Star-Lord, who looks up at Yondu and says he looks like Mary Poppins. Yondu then exclaims after Star-Lord tells him Mary Poppins is cool, "I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!'

This brief scene does so much. It shows Peter's respect for Yondu, while also just being funny, and it seems just so spur of the moment. I don't know if it was improvised or written, but it's brilliant. 

Of course, because of the internet, there are plenty of references to that great moment in different ways, but one of my favorites has to be this one by Wooden Plank Studios. This image shows a mashup of the two Disney properties. I think it's hilarious to see each of the characters matched up to each other, but by far, my favorite has to be Yondu as Mary Poppins. it just doesn't get any better than his face.
