Amusing Trailer for CHCKEN RUN: DAWN OF THE NUGGET Sees Ginger and Rocky on a Mission to Save Chicken-Lind

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. This film is a sequel to the classic 2000 stop-motion animated comedy Chicken Run, and it looks like a good time! I’ve watched that first film so many times because my daughter absolutely loved that movie and she watched it over and over again! She’s in college now, which blows my freakin’ mind.

In the film, “For Ginger and the flock, all is at stake when the dangers of the human world come home to roost; they’ll stop at nothing even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk to save chicken-kind. This time, they’re breaking in!”

The trailer teases the challenges that Ginger and Rocky will face as they embark on a mission to take down Mrs Tweedy’s evil operation that poses a horrible threat.

The film was directed by Sam Fell, who shared in a statement: “They say a movie is only as good as its villain and Ginger’s nemesis, Mrs Tweedy is one of the all-time greats. Now she’s out to take industrial-scale revenge on all chicken-kind with the ‘Dawn of the Nugget.’ Miranda has a unique understanding of drama and comedy, making you laugh while scaring the pants off you in the exact same moment. Also rounding out our fantastic cast is Peter Serafinowicz playing Reginald Smith, a slightly bemused businessman visiting Mrs Tweedy’s giant nugget factory.”

The voice cast for the film includes Thandiwe Newton as Ginger, who sets up a peaceful sanctuary far from the human world having recently escaped from the evil Tweedy farm. She is joined by Bella Ramsey as Molly and Zachary Levi as Rocky. Ginger and Rocky were voiced in the original film by Julia Sawalha and Mel Gibson.

Miranda Richardson (Good Omens) is reprising her role as the arch villain Mrs, Tweedy. She will be joined by comedian Peter Serafinowiczas hapless businessman Reginald Smith. The rest of the cast includes Jane Horrocks, Imelda Staunton, Lynn Ferguson, Josie Sedgwick-Davies, David Bradley, Romesh Ranganathan, Daniel Mays and Nick Mohammed.

The franchise was launched by Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park and Aardman Animations co-founder Peter Lord. Chicken Run grossed over $225 million at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time.

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nuggest will premiere on Netflix on December 15h. Enjoy the trailer!
