Amusing Trailer for MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 3
Focus Features has released the first trailer for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. It took 20 years, but My Big Fat Greek Wedding is now a trilogy. The first two movies were actually good films that entertained audiences, and this upcoming sequel looks like it’ll be just as fun.
The movie was written and directed by franchise creator Nia Vardalos, who also stars. She is joined by John Corbett, Elena Kampouris, Andrea Martin, and Lainie Kazan.
The story follows Vardalos's Fortoula "Toula" Nia Portokalos-Miller as she embarks on a journey to Greece with her family for a family reunion. It was her late father’s wish to do this and rediscover her roots.
The movie is produced by Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who have produced every installment in the franchise. Wilson said in a statement: "It's thrilling to have Nia Vardalos, Academy Award nominated writer. Not only in front of the camera as our star, but also behind the camera as our director, guiding our beloved cast for this third film shot on location in Greece. My Big Fat Greek Wedding has brought audiences joy for twenty-one years. I'm so happy that more joy is on the way."
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 hits theaters on September 8th.
