Amy Adams and Laura Dern Bringing Adaptation of Novel THE MOST FUN WE EVER HAD to HBO

HBO is teaming with Executive Producers Amy Adams and Laura Dern to bring the Claire Lombardo novel The Most Fun We Ever Had to series. The author will write the script, as well as co-produce. Variety reports the following description for the story:

Described as a multigenerational saga spanning half a century, the story follows four sisters, each struggling to exist in the shadow of their parents’ idyllic marriage, whose lives are complicated by the unexpected return of the son one of them gave up for adoption fifteen years earlier.

I love family dramas. This story seems so rich. Hopefully Adams and/or Dern will hop on board to star as well, as they are both phenomenal actors. But I trust HBO and everyone involved to bring us the best version of this novel. Both Adams and Dern have been involved in fantastic adaptations of novels over the past couple of years at HBO with Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects. Those were both favorites of mine, so I am on board for this series, and just added The Most Fun We Ever Had to my reading list.

Does this sound like a series you’ll enjoy?
