Amy Poehler Leads a Team of Archeologists in Trailer for Peacock Comedy Series DIG

Peacock has released the first trailer for the comedy series Dig, made by SNL alum Amy Poehler, and collaborator Michael Schur (The Good Place, Parks and Recreation).

The series, which follows a team of dedicated archaeologists and less-dedicated college students spending their summer at a Grecian dig site when they unearth a rare artifact, is an adaptation of Kate Myers’ bestseller “Excavations.” Myers is a co-executive producer.

Poehler stars in the series as Elise, and she is joined by Hugh Laurie, Geraldine Viswanathan, Antonia Thomas, Fina Strazza, Kayvan Novak, Jon Pointing and Bonita Friedericy. Guest stars include Max Greenfield, Jason Mantzoukas, Brennan Lee Mulligan, Noma Dumezweni and Dan Bucatinsky.

Dig is co-showrun by co-creator and executive producer Schur and executive producer J.J. Philbin. Poehler also serves as co-creator and executive producer in addition to starring as a series regular.

This looks like such a fun show! I’m excited to see Amy Poehler back on TV with Schur, who makes some of my favorite shows. Dig premieres on Peacock on November 23rd, just in time for the holidays. Check out the trailer below:
