Amy Smart and Four Other Actors Join DC's STARGIRL Cast

DC Universe’s Stargirl has recently made a big casting announcement. Five new actors have joined the show’s cast. Deadline is reporting that Cameron Gellman will play an undisclosed character as a series regular in addition to another report that announced Neil Jackson, Trae Romano, Hunter Sansone, and Amy Smart had joined the cast.

Jackson and Sansone are also in secret roles at the moment, but Romano has been cast as Mike Dugan, the son of Pat Dugan who will be played by Luke Wilson. Meanwhile, Smart will have the role of Barbara Whitmore who is the new wife of Pat, step-mother to Mike, and the mother of Brec Bassinger’s Courtney Whitmore, who is Stargirl.

With her daughter in high school, Barbara is diving back into the workforce but striving to balance workplace demands with the commitments of both matrimony and motherhood.

The release for Stargirl has not been revealed yet, but my current guess is the end of this year. How do you think the casting is going? Are you excited to see how this show turns out on DC Universe?
