An Abused Girl is Hiding in The Treacherous Wilderness in Trailer For THE GIRL ON THE MOUNTAIN
Saban Films has released a trailer for an upcoming survival thriller film titled The Girl on the Mountain. The film centers on an abused young mute girl who is hiding in the wilderness as her abusive father is hunting her down. While in hiding, she meets a reclusive backwoodsman who will help protect her from the dangerous men who are after her.
The film was directed by Matt Sconce, who said in a statement, "The Girl on the Mountain is the powerful and poignant story of the human experience of love, grief, brokenness and healing." It looks like a solid film that will tell a thrilling story.
Here’s the synopsis for the film:
The film is an intense thriller set against a backdrop of beautiful, yet treacherous wilderness. Haunted by a family tragedy, reclusive backwoodsman Jack Ward (Daniel O'Reilly) is given a chance at redemption when a young girl (Makenzie Sconce) fleeing abuse and murder, comes into his life. Safety and security are short-lived as the girl's vengeful father and his posse converge on the two. Now Ward must summon his instincts as a paternal protector and face off against the sadistic intruders.
The movie also stars Megan Elizabeth Barker, Rease Etzler, Ryan Kos, and D.T. Carney. The Girl on the Mountain will be released in select theaters and on VOD starting on March 8th, 2022.
