An All-Star Voice Cast of Classic 90s Animated Shows Unite For a New Series THE GANG'S ALL HERE

A lot of us grew up on classic animated shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and X-Men. Now several of the popular voice artists involved with these series are assembling for a new animated show called The Gang's All Here.

The series is being produced by Rob Paulsen, who previously worked as a voice actor on TMNT, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs. He teamed up with screenwriter Byron Burton to work on the series. Apparently, Burton pitched the series idea to Paulsen earlier this year at a fan convention, and Paulsen liked what he came up with!

As far as the voiceover cast goes, Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Cal Doff (Wolverine) have jumped on board! Oh yeah! Voice over director Andrea Romano is also involved. She has worked on several of the DC animated productions over the years.

This is a pretty impressive team of talent that is enough to make fans of these classic shows geek out a little bit. As far as the details on what the new series will be about, THR offers the following info:

The Gang's All Here centers on an animal cast of actors as they star in their own films and navigate the pitfalls of the entertainment industry. The team is conceiving of the comedic series to target adults and adolescents.

Sounds like this could be a fun series! When talking about the project, Conroy says:

"It's certainly unique for me, because it's getting involved with the creative people earlier as the package is being put together."

Conroy will voice two animals on the show: "a bookworm bear named Frances, who is described as a sophisticated Frasier Crane-esque character, and a superhero dog named Barkley."

As for the other voice actors, Paulsen will voice a character named Patches, "a warthog with a Christopher Walken-esque voice." And Romano, who recently retired, will play Meryl, "a feline sidekick to Conroy's super-dog Barkley." when talking about the series, she says:

"This is so different than what we've been doing in terms of creating things with actors. I think it speaks volumes that I'm willing to look at it when I'd just retired."

Then there's Dodd, who will be voicing two characters in the series. A character named Sargent Snout, a "gruff pig commando" and "action star who is reminiscent of an '80s Sylvester Stallone." Dodd says he loves the attitude of his character and like to use words like "maggot." The other character he's playing is literally a wolverine, which is obviously a nod to the classic X-Men character he voiced.

As they are developing the series, they are also going around and pitching it. They are obviously all very passionate about the project and with the names attached to the series, I don't think they will have any problem getting it together and finding a home to produce it.
