An Animated DIABLO Series is in Development at Netflix with HELLBOY Reboot Writer
A few weeks ago it was rumored that Boom! Studios founder and writer Andrew Cosby (Hellboy reboot) was developing a series based on the popular game Diablo. Well, it turns out the rumors were true.
Netflix is producing a animated Diablo series and Cosby recently revealed on Twitter (Via Variety) that he is in “final talks” to write the series and be the showrunner. He also said, “It’s very exciting and I hope to the High Heavens it all works out.”
The tweets where he talks about his involvement with the series have since been deleted. But, the word is out and as a fan of the Diablo game franchise I’m pretty excited about this! I’m sure that we’ll eventually get an official announcement.
There’s no information on what the Diablo series will entail, but the game revolves around a lone warrior battling to rid the world of Diablo, the Lord of Terror. I spent a lot of long nights playing this game when I was in high school.
