An Animated TRANSFORMERS Prequel Film Coming From TOY STORY 4 Director Josh Cooley

We’ve got a new Transformers movie coming from Hasbro’s entertainment studio eOne and Paramount Pictures. It will be an animated prequel film and it will be helmed by Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley.

The movie is described as an origin story and it will be set on the planet of Cybertron, the home of the Autobots and the Decepticons. All we know about the story right now is that it will revolve around the relationship between Optimus Prime and Megatron.

This is a story that fans have been wanting to see told on the big screen for a long time. I know I have and it’s great that it’s finally happening. The story of the Autobots and the Decepticons on Cybertron before they came to earth is something that’s always fascinated me. I also love the fact that it will be an animated film and that it won’t be connected to the live-action Transformers film franchise.

The script was written by Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, who previously worked on Marvel’s Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Cooley is overseeing a final draft of the script with the writers now.

At this point, with Hollywood production being shut down, jumping into production on a big scale animated film like this is a good move because people can work in developing an animated film from homes.

I’m excited about this movie and I can’t wait to see how it turns out! What do you think?
