An Army Veteran is Developing a Superman Fan Film Titled SUPERMAN SOLAR

Andrew List, a veteran of the U.S. Army has a vision for a Superman film that he is looking to make. The fan film is titled Superman Solar, and he’s currently trying to fund his non-profit project on Indegogo. The film is said to be an “emotional journey where Superman faces his greatest challenge yet.”

This looks and sounds like a great Superman concept and it would be really cool to see List realize his vision for the film. I’ll let him introduce himself and share his ambitious vision with you:

My name is Andrew List and I am a US Army Veteran and I've been working in video production for over 15 years. Over those 15 years I have done countless projects for TV, film, live events and much more. I've also been blessed with opportunities to work with top talent that were featured on World Wrestling Entertainment, The Walking Dead, The Arrowverse and much more. In addition, for the past 10 years I've run a succesful YouTube channel where my videos have been viewed over 90 MILLION times. Creating popular fan edited videos you might have seen Justice League Retro Trailer, Avengers vs Justice League and many more.

Superman has always been important in my life and he's always been my favorite character in any media. What has always drawn me to the character goes beyond the powers and abilities. It's his humanity, he chooses to live as one of us to understand our problems, struggles and cares all the same. While he does large scale things like saving earth from alien invasions, he's also that same guy who stops to help you change your bike tire on the side of the road. That's what I've always loved about Superman.

While working on thousands of projects over the years I've met some incredibly loving and talented people who we've already brought on board while building our "super" team. Incredible music score is being created by Mike Schmidt, the official logo was created by David M. Jones, with amazing posters by SPDRMNKYXXIII and Render Driver.  Additionally, Julian Bell is on the team as the VFX lead, Ryan Nunes as cinematographer, Megan Loucks, Bobby Devlin along with many more talented individuals in video, sound, props, costumes and more that have yet to be announced.

The story we're going to tell has taken inspirations from All Star Superman, Superman Grounded but most of all things I've always wanted to see adapted to live action. This concept has been inside my head in some form or fashion for roughly 10 years. Over that time, I've just been constantly adding and perfecting the story that I want to tell.

Having superpowers doesn't make a hero, a hero. It's being there for those who need you most, regardless of powers. Superman's greatest superpower is giving those hope, even in the smallest of moments.

Nearly my entire life, probably yours too you hear people say they can't relate to Superman. I've always found that notion to be the complete opposite. He doesn't know his real family, immigrant, adoptive parents, not knowing his place in the world. I don't know anyone who could hear those things and not be able to relate to one or more. There's no feat too big and no struggle too small.
