An Autistic Boy Is Terrorized by a Monster in Creepy Trailer for COME PLAY with Gillian Jacobs
Focus Features released the first creepy-ass trailer for the upcoming horror thriller titled Come Play. The film tells the story of a monster named Larry that manifests itself through smart phones and other mobile devices. This monster ends up terrorizing a young autistic boy named Oliver, who says the monster just wants a friend.
The movie stars Azhy Robertson as the boy, Oliver, along with John Gallagher Jr., Gillian Jacobs, Winslow Fegley, Jayden Marine, and Rachel Wilson. This is the synopsis that was shared:
Newcomer Azhy Robertson stars as Oliver, a lonely young autistic boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses Oliver's devices against him to break into our world, Oliver's parents (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.) must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.
This looks like it will be an awesomely scary horror movie. It’s actually based on a short film titled Larry directed by Jacob Chase, who also wrote and directed the feature film. It looks like he did a great job with this film and I’m looking forward to watching it.
Come Play will be released in theaters starting on October 31st, Halloween! Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
