An Intergalactic Chef Braves the Dangerous Universe Hunting Rare Spices in Animated Short SPICE FRONTIER
I’ve got an awesome sci-fi animated short film for you to watch today that I know you’re gonna enjoy. It’s titled Spice Frontier, and it’s a proof-of-concept pilot for an animated series that I would love to see get made!
The story is set centuries after the destruction of Earth, and it follows a struggling chef named Kentucky Williams and his cyborg companion, C-LA, as they brave the dangerous cosmos in their ship, The Serrano, in search of the last remaining earth spices. As a chef, Williams is eager to discover the culinary secrets of his ancestors.
It’s a great concept and as you’ll see in the short, it’s also filled with some cool action! On top of that, the animation style and designs are really well done! This is top-notch animation work!
Spice Frontier was directed by Jalil Sadool, and co-directed by Adam Meyer. The screenplay is also written by Sadool, who is also co-founder and CEO of Steamroller Studios, the animation house that created this.
