An R-Rated Winnie The Pooh Inspired Series CHRISTOPHER ROBIN in Development
We’ve got another R-rated Winnie The Pooh project in development! This is a live-action/animated hybrid comedy series titled Christopher Robin and it’s being developed by Boat Rocker and Shamier Anderson and Stephan James of Bay Mills Studios.
The series is described as a reimagining of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh, and in the story, “Christopher Robin is a disillusioned New Yorker navigating his quarter-life crisis with the help of the weird talking animals who live beyond a drug-induced portal outside his derelict apartment complex, the Hundred Acres.”
This kind of story actually makes sense for a character like Christopher Robin! This could be a very funny series. What do you think about this Winnie The Pooh series concept? Do you think it will hit or miss with fans of these classic stories and characters?
The project is based on a script written by Charlie Kesslering (Most Likely To, Turned On), who will also executive produce. Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Sausage Party) is also on-board to direct the pilot episode and executive produce.
