Ana de Armas Replaces Scarlett Johansson in Chris Evans's Romantic Adventure Film GHOSTED
Scarlett Johansson has exited Chris Evans’ Apple Original Film Ghosted, which is a high-concept romantic action adventure film that will be directed by Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagle, Rocketman). Johansson will be replaced by Ana de Armas who previously starred alongside Evans in Knives Out.
Apparently Johansson had to leave the project over a scheduling conflict. It’s explained, “The change comes because the intent is to get the picture into production by February, and the timing didn’t work out for Johansson. Ellison led the charge to bring in de Armas, who’s about as hot an actress out there right now after Knives Out and No Time to Die, and with the Adrian Lyne-directed Deep Water upcoming with Ben Affleck.”
Ana de Armas also most recently starred with Evans and Ryan Gosling in the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed film The Gray Man for Netflix. She is also in talks to take on the lead role in the John Wick spinoff action film Ballerina.
We don’t really have any details on the story, but the script for the film was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland), and they are also producing.
