Ana de Armas Reportedly Being Eyed for a Major MCU Role
A new rumor has sparked excitement among Marvel fans, with reports claiming that Ballerina star Ana de Armas may be stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The scoop comes from insider Daniel Richtman, who claims de Armas is being considered for a “big role” in the MCU. There’s no word yet on which character or project Marvel has in mind, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating on possible roles across upcoming franchises.
De Armas has built an impressive and diverse filmography, starting her career in 2006 before breaking into Hollywood with standout performances in Blade Runner 2049 (2017) and Knives Out (2019). She earned critical acclaim for portraying Marilyn Monroe in 2022’s Blonde, then took on action and adventure in Ghosted (2023) and Eden (2024). Her latest role in Ballerina (2025) sees her fully immersed in the John Wick universe.
If Marvel does bring her aboard, de Armas would be joining an already packed release slate. The studio just launched The Fantastic Four: First Steps and is gearing up for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set for July 31, 2026.
After that, the MCU will hit massive milestones with Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. Disney has also locked in an untitled Marvel project for July 23, 2027.
For now, Marvel is staying quiet, but the idea of Ana de Armas bringing her star power, range, and action chops to the MCU is enough to get fans excited about who she might play in the film.
