Anakin's Lightsaber is Now Officially Labeled Rey's Lightsaber

I know what you're thinking. Duh. Of course, Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber belongs to Rey. We saw her use it and pick it up. Why wouldn't it? Well, hold on a sec. What I mean is, its title according to the people making the Star Wars films, is no longer Anakin's lightsaber.

It was recently announced during an episode of the Star Wars Show, that the marketing team now refers to the lightsaber as "Rey's lightsaber". This information comes from Lucasfilm Story Group creative executive Pablo Hidalgo while talking of the set report.

"Either way, the blade is no longer considered Anakin's lightsaber by the Lucasfilm marketing department. It has now been officially dubbed 'Rey's'"

So, simple enough change that is useful to remember. If for no other reason, to not have to deal with people correcting you online when you refer to it.

In this installment of The Star Wars Show, we have new details on Star Wars: The Last Jedi, interview author Timothy Zahn, celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars with the cast of Hamilton, and more!
