Andie MacDowell Has Joined Tye Sheridan in Survival Thriller Series WIRELESS at Quibi

Actress Andie MacDowell (Groundhog Day, Ready or Not) has joined the survival thriller series Wireless that’s coming to Quibi. She joins the previously cast Tye Sheridan (Mud, Ready Player One), as well as Lukas Gage (Euphoria), Francesca Reale (Stranger Things), and Mace Coronel (Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn) who will also have recurring roles.

Deadline reports the following synopsis:

the series follows a self-obsessed college student (Sheridan) stranded in the Colorado mountains whose only hope for survival is the tool he has spent his whole life learning to use: his smartphone. Wireless is a survival thriller set inside the car he crashed and the quickly dying phone that now is his lifeline.

The series is being co-written and directed by Zach Wechter, with co-writer Jack Seidman. The series has a great lead actor, a solid story, and good supporting actors as well. I don’t have Quibi, or even know how to get it though. I’m kind of mad at all these little fringe streaming services, because they have some projects that sound appealing, but no one is subscribing to these services they just heard about for the first time for one or two series. But that’s just my opinion.

What do you think? Does Wireless sound like a good series to you? Do you see yourself subscribing to Quibi?
