Andrew Lincoln Joins Naomi Watts in Family Drama PENGUIN BLOOM

Andrew Lincoln, of The Walking Dead fame, has joined the film Penguin Bloom, alongside Naomi Watts. The film is based on the bestseller by the same name by Bradley Trevor Greive and Cameron Bloom. The movie will be directed by Glendyn Ivin, with a script by Shaun Grant and Harry Cripps. Here is a synopsis of the story provided by Variety:

Lincoln will portray the husband of Watts’ character in the drama, which is set on Sydney’s northern beaches and centers on a young family struggling to come to terms with a near-fatal accident that left their mother paralyzed. As they learn to adjust to her new situation, an unlikely ally entered their lives in the form of an injured Magpie chick, dubbed “Penguin” by the family.

This sounds like kind of a heavy storyline. But both actors are very talented and I’m sure will bring a sweet relatability to the roles. The film is in very early stages, so we will let you know when we know more. Are you interested so far?
