Andy Serkis Opens up About Snoke, Says He Wishes the STAR WARS Villain Had Survived

Like everyone else who saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Andy Serkis was shocked to find out that his character, Supreme Leader Snoke, was killed off in the story. Especially since we still hardly knew anything about who this character was or where he came from!

The villain’s death is one of the many things in this film that polarized audiences. Some people thought the shocking death was great, while others were hoping to get to know the character a little more.

In a recent interview with Games Radar, Serkis finally opened up about the character being killed off and said that he wishes he would have survived:

"It was a bit of a shock, but I could see exactly why they were going that route, and I think it was a huge surprise in the middle of the film. But I really loved the scene where Rey plays with Snoke. That scene was a fantastic. I just wish he'd survived, but who knows?"

Snoke was definitely a great and interesting character. As much as I enjoyed The Last Jedi, I do wish we would have been able to see the character explored a little more. I wonder if J.J. Abrams will find a way to give us some meaty new info on the character in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Do you think Abrams will bring Snoke back in some way for Episode IX? Would you like him to?
