Angelina Jolie Says She Is Going to Work Very Hard to Give the MCU the Thena They Deserve

One of the coolest and most poised actors to grace the stage at the Marvel panel at Comic-Con was definitely Angelina Jolie. She is so classy, and it is so exciting to see her join the MCU as part of the cast of the new film Eternals.

This week, while talking to USAToday, Jolie talked about becoming the character Thena, an ancient immortal superhuman with super strength, speed, and agility. Jolie said her training for the role included everything from sword-fighting to ballet. Jolie was quoted, saying, “She's a warrior. I'm going to have to work very hard to give the Marvel Cinematic Universe the Thena they deserve."

I would expect no less from this powerhouse actress. She always gives an incredible performance. When asked about what her six children think about her playing the superhero role, Jolie said, “What's really moving to me is that they want to see me strong," Jolie told People magazine in an interview published about her kids Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. "It's less to see me in a film, but they're just happy I will be strong and having fun," she added.

Jolie is joined in the cast by Richard Madden, Lia McHugh, Salma Hayek, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, and Dong-seok Ma. Eternals is set to hit theaters on November 6, 2020. Are you excited?
