Academy award winner Angelina Jolie has signed on to star in director Alice Winocour‘s next movie, Stitches. The feature is set in the world of high fashion, kicking off in Paris. All other plot details are being kept secret. The movie will reportedly be shot in French and English a la Winocour’s previous feature, Proxima.

Jolie is front and center in this season’s awards conversation for her turn as Maria Callas in the Fremantle/Apartment/Netflix movie, Maria.

The movie, directed by Pablo Larrain, is 77% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Jolie also directed the western inspired two-hander, Without Blood, which world premiered at TIFF. That movie stars Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir.

The pic follows a woman who survives a massive killing of her family, who later in life confronts their murderer. It is based on the novel by Alessandro Baricco.
