Anna Faris, Alicia Silverstone and Patrick Wilson Join Susan Sarandon in Drama Feature TUNNELS

Anna Faris (House Bunny, Just Friends), Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), and Patrick Wilson (Hard Candy, Moonfall) have joined the cast of the drama feature Tunnels. They join previously announced cast-members Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise, Dead Man Walking) and Jaeden Martell (St. Vincent, IT, Knives Out).

Kill Your Darlings director John Krokidas is helming the film, which is based on a screenplay by Victoria Rose, who has written several TV movies, and is making her big screen writing debut.

In Tunnels, Martell and Sarandon play a duo who strike up the unlikeliest friendship in the wake of unthinkable tragedy. Sarandon stars as Ruby, a woman whose grandson becomes a school shooter. She meets one of his victim’s siblings – Grayson (Martell) – when they are paired together at the local grocery store where they both work.

The logline reads: “As their friendship grows, and inspired by Grayson’s wisdom, Ruby realises that she may still have the power to make positive change and help bring the town back together again.”

This sounds like a heartbreaking story, but the talent onboard is sure to make the film a great one. Tunnels is set to begin shooting this Fall, and will most likely make a 2023 debut.
